By good fortune, we did meet with Captain Pegsworthy while we were returning to the Crisis. Upon reaching our vessel, there were some small matters of courtship to address between Feruzi and Pegsworthy. Not much to stir my interest, but of great amusement to Chopper, Rosie and Sandara.

The fortune did apply when Chopper recruited Pegsworthy to our cause and sent him in search of the Brine Banshee. With his agreement to sail for Ollo, we were free to sail to Drenchport to follow our lead there.

Our informant, one Keft, a scrimshawer of some note, did provide some information about a man named Tomak, a Mwagi smuggler that did not smuggle. This name seemed to be of some note to Feruzi, being the name of the man that had departed her homeland with the sister she sought.

Seeking out this Tomak, we made way to the hut he was sad to inhabit and found him there. Most unfortunately we did find him to be deceased, slain by a crossbow bolt that was, most likely to have killed him so quickly, covered in poison. As for clues, we found a carving of a tengu, a piece of music, being a Chelish opera written in Infernal, and a note about someone named Ukele.

Afterward, we sought out a tengu known to associate with Tomak and familiar to Reiko, in Hell Harbor. Once he had opened his door to Reiko, he was slain in a like manner to Tomak. Folloing the path of the bolt back, we did find the assassin and called for him to surrender. As he was “disincline to acquiesce”, he was slain in his turn, although his corpse did provide a list of names, those being the assassinated and a letter pointing us to the Jasperleaf Apothecary in Port Peril.
