With the savage sea witch slain, the rest o’ her crew lost their stomach fer the fight. The ship they’d come in must o’ slipped out in the unnatural mist, also likely conjured by the sharp-toothed sorceress. Witchcraft! Feh.
Once we got a good look at the tattoo splayed ‘cross her back, we saw it were a map. Brought in ol’ Kroop ta get his readin’ o’ the thing, but though he swore it were a map ta Mancatcher Cove, he didn’t know no more’n that. Reiko’d heard a thing or two about it, though.
She read some Minkaian writin’ alongside the map what presented a riddle ta findin’ the treasure left by a long-dead pirate captain name o’ Cyrus Wolfe. She seemed surprised when I said we was goin’ after it. Women.

Mister Hands took it upon himself to blow up one o’ Crisis’s walls, the blighter. Testin’ some new favorite explosive or other. It took me a couple hours ta fix ‘er up again, an’ then I cast my gaze ta the horizon. Found us a fight, too. Chelish. Delish. Rescued the pirates beleaguered by the devil-lovers an’ they swore their loyalty to Crisis and Tidewater Rock, then set off fer the base with the cowardly Chelaxian captain in the brig.

Found the cove and dealt with the skulkin’ sea rats aboard Thresher, the ship that must’ve once belonged ta Inkskin – the witch we killed on Tidewater. Did fer ‘em and kept a few prisoners, while we talked about what ta do next. Feruzi’s suggestion was straightest to the point: send ‘em rowin’ inta the cove an’ see what happened. Proactive information-gatherin’ we hoped.
Sure looked good on paper, but the sharks in the cove decided our plan was an even better plan fer an appetizer….
